ATF, FBI, police presence in New Haven, reports of gunman at Yale

Police and SWAT teams are searching Yale University buildings after reports of a person with a gun on or near Old Campus.

Yale University is on lockdown and students are being urged to stay indoors until further notice.

The lockdown was issued after an anonymous caller reported that his roommate was on his way to the Ivy League school to shoot people, police said.

New Haven Police received the anonymous call at 9:30 a.m. from a phone booth in the 300 block of Columbus Avenue.
